This privacy policy explains what personal information this website handles, why, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
In short
- You can read every page without giving us any personal information.
- No newsletter, no mailing list, no accounts and no marketing emails.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- If you use the contact form, we use what you send only to reply to you.
- We never sell, rent or trade personal information.
Who is responsible for your information
This website is run as a hobby by Synergetic Digital Marketing Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08839290). Synergetic Digital Marketing Limited is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at any time through the contact page.
Information we collect
When you browse
We do not ask for or record personal information when you read the website. Like every website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs of requests, which can include your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used only to keep the website secure and working, and are not used to build profiles or for advertising.
When you use the contact form
If you choose to send a message, the form collects your name, your email address and your message. We use them only to read and reply to your message and to deal with any follow up. We do not add you to any list and we do not send you marketing.
Our legal basis
We rely on legitimate interests: replying to messages people choose to send us, and keeping the website secure and working. You can object to this at any time.
Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Your information is processed only by the services that run the website: the web hosting provider and the email service that delivers contact form messages. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the website from misuse.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept only for as long as needed to reply and deal with any follow up, then deleted. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and maintenance, then deleted. We do not keep personal information indefinitely.
If the website is sold
This website is for sale. Contact form messages are not passed to a buyer as part of a sale. If a new owner takes over, this policy will be updated before any new information is collected, and it will name how to contact the new controller.
Cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our cookie policy explains the few strictly necessary cookies used only when the site’s editor logs in.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict how it is used, to object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact page. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and reasonable technical measures to protect information. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
This website is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If the way the website handles information changes, for example if analytics or adverts are ever added, this policy will be updated first, and any consent the law requires will be asked for before non essential cookies are used.
